Prayer for Scotland. Connecting Scotland

12 April 2007
Connecting Scotland is well on its way, having started in Shetland earlier this week in its praying for Scotland campaign.
With 5 rallies under their belt the team need endurance to complete this prayer drive, walk, and move through Scotland to the final rally on the 27 May in Edinburgh.
Connecting Scotland have a really clear vision which is being translated on the ground and will hopefully unite christians throughout Scotland.
Last night the Lairg rally saw people from truely all walks of life and church experience pray, praise and listen to pastor Bert expound :
On John 17 Love one another ...a mesage to the churches in Scotland.
He highlighted
The Church needs to be different.
A need to make every effort with ones brothers in the church.
Call not to waste time.
Unity is not automatic.
Unity is not uniformity.
There is and should be diversity in the Body of Christ.
The Church was urged to maturity.
Mindful of the 50 year old vision and prophetic word from a lady regarding UK revival coming from the North of Scotland. We are nearing that time!
A splendid unifying meeting. Praise God.

Brian

Interested in jean darnell prophecy, you clearly hold it as genuine prophecy, why is that?

Dave , If I agree or not to the prophesy is neither here nor there.

Prophesy is only genuine after the event! One thing I do know God wants to turn this country back to him as with any country. However his intervention is subject not to us but to his own will. I would be cheered in heart if the revival comment made was in the future to be seen as correct as in the geographical place of re firing was in the north.

Hope that helps so to speak.
Of course it starts with you and me!

I am happy for it to start up here, and I know for one that I live not waiting for it, but living in it now.

What are we to make of things like Alpha though, although not 'geographically' correct per Darnell's own take on it, surely the figures would suggest that revival has and is happening in England.

Then again what is revival.
Is it a certain head count?
Is it people falling on the floor?. ( Which could be Hysteria)
Is it a deepening of an individauls walk that has a profound effect on another.
Is it singing songs vermently?

Is it a mass turning and conviction to people to God by those who are non- religious?....ie not going to "Church". Macrae would have a definition that might suit.

Revival must be for the people of God...regeneration is for those outside the kingdom
After all you cannot revive something that was never alive

So revival is the people of God discovering God anew and living in the kingdom here and now and becoming a revelation of His love to those who watch.
God's people are living letters that the world reads, they are convinced of God when it is a good novel
